Start at the top and stop when it works. The order matters — these are sequenced by how often each turns out to be the real cause, not by how technical they sound.
1. Something else is already streaming
Each plan includes one connection, meaning one stream at a time. A player still open on another device holds that connection even if the screen is off. Close it everywhere, wait about thirty seconds for the session to drop, and try again.
This is the single most common cause of “it stopped working” and it looks exactly like a broken login.
2. Refresh the playlist
When channels are missing rather than the whole app failing, the guide is stale. Refresh the playlist from the player’s settings. New channels do not appear in a cached list.
3. Restart the router, not just the app
Thirty seconds off, then back on. It clears the case where the connection is technically alive but routing badly, which shows up as buffering that comes and goes rather than a clean failure.
4. Turn off any VPN
A VPN adds a hop, and a congested endpoint will throttle a video stream hard. Turn it off and test. If playback recovers, the VPN was the bottleneck.
5. Clear the app cache
On Fire TV: Settings, Applications, Manage Installed Applications, pick the player, Clear cache. Clear cache, not Clear data — the second one wipes your login and you will be typing it in again.
6. Check the speed on the right network
Around 10 Mbps for HD and 25 Mbps for 4K, per device streaming at once. Run the test on the same network the player uses. A result from your phone on mobile data tells you nothing about the Firestick.
The buffering guide goes deeper on this, including what to do when the speed is fine and it still stalls.
7. Change DNS
Some ISPs resolve streaming hosts slowly or route them badly. Setting the device to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 sometimes clears a stubborn case that nothing else touches.
8. Reinstall last, not first
Reinstalling is the internet’s favourite first suggestion and it is almost never the fix. Do it last, and have your login to hand before you start — a reinstall wipes it.
When it is us, not you
Sometimes it genuinely is our end, and you should not have to work through eight steps to find that out. Message support@deviptvpro.net or WhatsApp +44 7475 498002 with your username, your device and roughly when it started. Someone who can read a log file will answer.
Questions people ask
Why is Dev IPTV Pro not working today?
Most often because another device is already using your connection — each plan includes one stream at a time, and a player left open elsewhere holds it. Close it everywhere, wait thirty seconds and retry. If that is not it, work down the list on this page in order.
Dev IPTV Pro channels are not loading. What do I do?
Refresh the playlist from the player’s settings. When the app opens fine but channels are missing or a newly added one does not appear, the guide is cached rather than broken.
Dev IPTV Pro keeps buffering on Firestick. Why?
The Firestick has less RAM and a weaker Wi-Fi antenna than most phones, so it is the first device to show a marginal connection. Restart the router, turn off any VPN, clear the app cache — not the app data — and check you have around 10 Mbps for HD or 25 Mbps for 4K on that network.
Will reinstalling Dev IPTV Pro fix it?
Rarely, and it is the step most likely to cost you time. A reinstall wipes your saved login, so do it last and only after the connection limit, playlist refresh, router, VPN, cache and speed checks have all been ruled out.
